I’ve been in the industry for 4 years, ever since I made the move from South Africa. I’ve gained a broad spectrum of knowledge through courses and my own research for my own training. One thing I have learned is that hard work and consistency pay off. If you’re willing to put in the work it will get you results.

I have level 3 qualification  in gym instructing and nutrition through VT Training. I have been in the leisure  industry since leaving the 6th form at school where I studied sport. I have always been interested in keeping active and helping people try and achieve their goals. I aspire to get as qualified as I can and have had the opportunity to work with elite athletes.

I am the studio coordinator here at New Era Gym. I teach most classes here including indoor cycling, aerobics, flat attack and
t-bow. I have worked in the leisure industry for10 years and have progressed my career over these years. I studied BTEC National Diploma in sport science in Lincoln and then went on to complete my degree in sports science through Nottingham Trent University. I hold instructor qualifications for classes I teach as well as my gym instructor level 2 and exercise and fitness knowledge level 2. I am currently studying my advanced instructors and will be undertaking a number of qualifications in the New Year. My area of particular interest is clients with sports injuries or rehabilitation needs. I love to help people achieve their goals. In my career I have worked with some large companies including fitness first, total fitness and good life health club in Australia.

I've been involved in high level sport from a young age and always enjoyed staying in shape in the gym to achieve my goals in sport. I've played basketball from local league right the way through to national league and the professional level until my carrier ended due to injury, and I am now focused on achieving all my qualifications to  become a personal trainer and help people achieve their goals.
